What is a boxed set?

A boxed set is a bundle of multiple books — usually a full series or trilogy — packaged together, often at a lower price per book than buying each one individually. It is a popular way to start a long series or give a complete gift. Epic fantasy and sci-fi are especially common in this format; the Mistborn Boxed Set and the Dune Saga set are good examples.
